Handwriting
Handwriting is introduced to our Early Years and KS1 children as we work through our Phonics Shed programme. As each phoneme and grapheme is introduced the children are shown the correct formation and this is later embedded as diagraphs are added.
Handwriting in KS2 is currently under review.
Currently we are using Penpals handwriting scheme to help our pupils develop clear, well formed and fluent handwriting. Guided handwriting lessons in KS2 help the children to develop a legible, personal style of handwriting.
