Dear Parents,
We are writing to inform you about the new class arrangements for the upcoming school year. Today the children were placed in their new classes for the morning which means they had an opportunity to visit their new teachers and or classroom settings.
Any changes have been thoughtfully made based on a variety of factors to best support the learning and development of all our pupils. These include the addition of new pupils, mixed age groups, gender mixes, special educational needs requirements, pupil abilities, and many other factors. We do take into consideration friendship groups (positive and otherwise) as one of the factors, but it is one of many.
We understand that some children may feel upset about a change that may impact on them, especially if they find themselves in a different class from some of their friends. Please reassure them, as we will, that they will still have opportunities to see and interact with their old friends during breaks, extracurricular activities, and school events. Additionally, this is a wonderful opportunity for them to make new friends and expand their social circle.
We know that any changes will ultimately benefit the pupils as a whole and enhance their educational experience. We appreciate your understanding and support as we implement any adjustments.
Please do not request changes to classes or groups as these will not be agreed at this time, as doing so impacts on other children. One child moving impacts on many other children as the school is currently full, as are all classes and year groups.
Your consideration is appreciated.
