The Parent Council
The Parent Council is an informal meeting designed to give parents and carers and opportunity to speak to the Headteacher and a Governor about their wider perception of school life. In essence, the meeting adds to the 'parent voice' across the school.
The structure of the meetings enables communication of positive aspects of school life that can be maintained or embedded, but also giving the school community the option to raise suggestions and observations that can be considered for the future. Meetings are positive and mutually respectful; the purpose of which is to improve the school where it can be improved, but also celebrate what is being achieved.
Individual matters, including discussions about pupils and staff are not permitted as the purpose of the meeting is to discuss the school in a wider context. Parents wishing to discuss individual matters should speak to the class teacher or arrange to see a Senior Leader.
Meetings are conducted each term and are open to all parents and carers.
