Swimming - in Years 3 and 4
Swimming lessons for all Year 3 and 4 children
All children in Year 3 and 4 participate in swimming lessons - this is compulsory and part of the school physical education curriculum. The lessons take place on a Monday during the school day.
Classes alternate termly; each class will have one complete term of lessons - either:
- Autumn term from September to Christmas
- Spring term from January till Easter, or
- Summer term from April to July.
Please check with your Year 3/4 teacher to find out when your child is scheduled for lessons!
Children require standard swimming kit, to be brought to school in a separate bag, comprising of:
- trunks/swim suit
- goggles
- towel
- swim hat - Swim hats are available to purchase from the school office, priced at £3.00 each (cash only, limited stock)
