Mrs Smith: Return from maternity leave

Miss Regan’s Class

I am pleased to announce that Mrs Smith will be returning from her maternity leave after the Easter break, and recommencing her duties in Year 2. We will be delighted to welcome her back to the team and I am sure that the children will very much enjoy working with her again.

Mrs Smith will be returning to work on a job share basis, and for the remainder of the year working alongside, Miss Reagan. Mrs Smith will teach Monday through to Wednesday, whilst Miss Reagan will complete the week’s learning on the Thursday and Friday.

Although Miss Reagan’s role as a class teacher will continue two days a week until the end of the year, I would like to take the time to thank her for what has been a very successful maternity leave period. We were fortunate that she was willing, and more than able, to step in and ensure continuity of practice for the children over the last few months. I have been delighted with both her work and that of the children.

I am sure you will all join me in welcoming Mrs Smith back to the fold after the Easter break, and looking forward to, what I am sure will be, a very successful working partnership for the end of the term.
