Mathematics
At Ashgate we follow a mastery approach to maths and use the White Rose Maths program to guide our planning.
Our aim is to provide all our children with full access to the mathematical curriculum, enabling them to achieve both confidence and competence in all areas of mathematical fluency, problem solving and reasoning.
The children will be encouraged to develop both their written and verbal maths skills with an emphasis on the children being able to explain their work and apply their skills to real life situations.
