Optional Lateral Flow Testing offer from Gov UK for all children, including those of primary school age.

Note: Offer is not provided by schools and requires you to order and test the child.

The government are now offering ‘Lateral Flow’ Covid testing for all children, including those at primary school age.

Lateral Flow tests are home testing kits that give an indication if an individual is infected with Covid 19, which, if positive, should be followed up by booking a full test.

It is important to note that:

It is not a requirement for children to be tested in primary schools – this is optional to you.
Schools do not order, provide or offer the testing service*.
Lateral flow tests that indicate a positive outcome must be followed up by a full test and the child should not return util that test outcome is known.
