Guard of Honour at the iPro Stadium

On Saturday 21st February, 27 lucky girls and boys from Years 3,4,5 & 6, who attend after-school football clubs, did the school proud when they represented Ashgate Primary School at the Derby County v Sheffield Wednesday Championship football match and formed the Guard of Honour. They stood on the pitch waving the black and white Rams flags, as the players emerged from the tunnel amid the cheers of over 30,000 fans and then helped cheer the Rams to a 3-2 victory putting the home side at the top of the league! This was the third year in a row that Ashgate has enjoyed this privilege, so well done children and many thanks to the parents for their support and enthusiasm at this event.

    Football dates coming up:

10th March Y3/4 Girls Football Tournament at Lucozade Power League Soccerdome, Pride Park.

17th March Y5/6 Girls Football Tournament at Lucozade Power League Soccerdome, Pride Park.

  • Security marking of bicycles

Tue 17 Feb 2015 Mr Seargent

I am delighted to announce that our local Police Community Support Officer, Adrian Harper (PCSO 3850) , has arranged to administrate 'cycle security marking' for all children's bicycles, free of charge on 20th March 2015.

In order to ensure that the session runs smoothly, parents will be required to submit a return slip which will be issued shortly.  This will ensure that PCSO Harper is given all the resources he needs.

This is a great opportunity for parents to mark up  bicycles,  prevent local crime and / or increase the chances of stolen property being returned.  This is a free service to the pupils at the school, a service that can be expensive when provided by private companies.

Please keep an eye out for further details.
